Ticket properties
Properties describe a ticket so it can be sorted, filtered and reported on. Tessel ships with a small set that every team has, and lets admins add more.
Built-in properties
Property | Values | Shortcut |
|---|---|---|
State | Your team's workflow states | S |
Priority | Urgent, High, Medium, Low, None | P |
Assignee | One member of the team | A |
Labels | Any number of team or workspace labels | L |
Estimate | Points, sizes or hours, depending on team settings | E |
Due date | A calendar date | Shift D |
Labels
Labels can be scoped to one team or shared across the workspace. Group related labels (for example Bug, Regression, Crash) under a parent so that a filter on the parent matches all of them.
Keep labels for facts that cut across teams. If a label only ever matters to one team, a team label is easier to tidy up later.
Estimates
Turn on estimates in Team settings → Estimates and choose a scale: exponential points, Fibonacci, t-shirt sizes or hours. Loops use the totals to show how much of the planned scope is finished.
Custom fields
Admins can add text, number, select and date fields under Workspace settings → Fields. A custom field can be required for one team and hidden for another.
