Quickstart
This guide takes you from a new account to your first order in about ten minutes. You'll create a workspace, go through the setup wizard, connect one real source, and check that orders appear.
Before you start
Have one of these ready:
A Discord monitor or bot whose webhook URL you can change, or
The email account that receives your retailer order confirmations (Gmail works best for a first run).
You only need one to get started.
Step 1: Create your workspace
Go to shippified.net and choose to register.
Enter a Workspace name, your Email and a Password (at least 8 characters), then select Create account. If Google sign-in is offered, you can use Sign up with Google instead.
You're signed in straight away. If a banner asks you to verify your email address, use the link in the email Shippified sent you.
Note: If your workspace is on the Free plan, you can add up to 100 new orders each calendar month. Status updates to orders you already have never count toward that limit.
Step 2: Go through the setup wizard
The first time you sign in to an empty workspace, Shippified opens Shippified onboarding. It has three steps and a finish screen. You can leave at any time with Skip setup and come back to everything later from the Links page.
Wizard step 1: Webhook bot
This creates a Discord intake URL for one monitor.
Display name: a name you'll recognise, such as the monitor's name.
Webhook slug: the last part of the URL. It can only use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens (for example
target-monitor).Parser template: leave it on Auto-detect (recommended) and Shippified picks the right template for each post. Only choose a specific template if you know exactly which one matches your monitor. A chosen template is applied to every post from this bot.
Select Create bot.
Shippified shows Your bot's intake is live. along with your URL. Select Copy, paste the URL into your monitor's Discord webhook setting, and select Continue.
Tip: The URL is private to your workspace. Anyone who has it can post orders into your account, so treat it like a password and don't share it in public channels.
If you don't use Discord monitors, select Skip setup here and connect email from the Links page instead (see Step 3 below).
Wizard step 2: Inbox (optional)
This step shows the same inbox form as Links → Email, with every provider: Google, Microsoft, IMAP (with its password or app password) and a forwarding address. Fill it in and select Connect inbox. When you see Inbox connected., select Continue. If you don't want to connect email yet, select Skip — Discord only.
IMAP: the source is ready as soon as it's saved.
Forwarding address: your inbound address appears on the source's card on Links → Email. Set up forwarding from there.
Google or Microsoft: saving creates the source, but the sign-in happens from its card. After the wizard, open Links → Email, select Edit source on the card, and then Connect Google account or Connect Microsoft account (see Option B below).
You can choose which templates the inbox uses later, from Links → Email.
Wizard step 3: First order
Here you can send a test message through the parser to see it working:
Fire a test webhook (available if you created a bot): select Send test. Shippified posts a sample checkout to your bot's URL, and you should see Webhook fired — parsed and added.
Paste an email (available if you created an inbox in step 2): edit the sample text or paste a real order email, then select Parse email. This imports the email through your new inbox, so it creates an order in the same way as Import an email by hand on the Links page.
Select Wrap up (or Wrap up anyway if you skipped the test). The finish screen counts your Bots, Inboxes and Orders. Select Open workspace.
Note: Test orders are real orders in your workspace. The sample webhook uses the same order number every time, so sending it again updates that one test order instead of adding another.
Step 3: Connect a real source
Pick whichever matches how you work. Both take a couple of minutes.
Option A: Discord monitor
If you created a bot in the wizard and pasted its URL into your monitor, you're done. The next checkout your monitor posts will appear on the Orders page.
To add more monitors later, go to Links → Webhooks. Giving each monitor its own bot keeps your per-monitor stats separate.
Option B: Gmail inbox
Open Links in the sidebar and switch to the Email tab.
Select Add inbox.
Enter a Label (for example "Order Inbox") and set Provider to Google (OAuth).
Leave Templates this source parses against and Allowed senders empty for now. Empty means every built-in template is tried.
Select Connect inbox. The new source card appears with the status needs auth.
On the card, select the pencil icon (Edit source), then Connect Google account. Google's consent screen opens in a new tab.
Approve read-only access. When the tab says Connected, close it and go back to Shippified. The card now shows connected. Reload the page if it hasn't updated yet.
Shippified checks the inbox about once a minute. The first check reads your 25 most recent messages, so if you've had retailer order emails recently, they'll show up within a minute or two. To check straight away, select Sync now on the card. The line next to it shows when the last check ran, or the error if it failed.
For Outlook, IMAP and forwarding addresses, see Connect an email inbox.
Step 4: See your first order
Open Orders in the sidebar.
Your orders are listed newest first. Each card shows the item, the store, which bot or inbox it came from, and its status.
Click an order to open its detail panel. For an order with a tracking number, the panel shows the shipment's timeline. DHL and DHL Express packages get live scans from the carrier. For UPS, FedEx and USPS, the timeline is built from your order emails, and you can copy the number to check it on the carrier's site. See Shipment tracking.
Add a sale price from the order card once you've sold the item. That's what the Insights page uses to calculate profit.
Tip: Want orders from before today? Once the inbox is connected, use Rebuild orders from mailbox on its card to read up to a year of past mail. See Rebuild from mailbox.
If nothing appears
What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
The Discord test worked but real checkouts don't appear | Check that the monitor's webhook setting has the full URL, including the slug at the end. |
The inbox card says needs auth | You haven't finished the Google sign-in. Open Edit source and select Connect Google account. |
The inbox card says auth failed | Google access was revoked or expired. Connect the account again the same way. For IMAP, open Edit source, fix the password or app password and select Save changes. |
The card says Last sync failed | Read the error on that line. Fix the details, then select Sync now. |
Connected, but no orders after a few minutes | Your recent mail may not include any order email from a supported retailer. Try a rebuild, or check the Inbox page to see which emails were picked up or refused. |
