Halcyon Arc and Arc Studio arrive in stores today
Halcyon’s newest desktops — the palm-sized Arc and the quiet, studio-grade Arc Studio — are available today at Halcyon stores, online and in the Halcyon app.
Starting today, customers can walk into any Halcyon store and leave with an Arc or Arc Studio, or order online for delivery as soon as tomorrow. Both machines run on the new Tern chip family, which pairs efficiency cores tuned for everyday work with performance cores that hold their speed under sustained load.
Arc: the most versatile desktop we have made
Arc is five inches across and less than two inches tall, yet it renders a 4K timeline twice as fast as the model it replaces. A single fan, now 30 percent larger and spinning more slowly, keeps it nearly silent even during long exports.
Up to 14 CPU cores and 20 GPU cores
Up to 64GB of unified memory
Two front-facing ports and a headphone jack that finally sits where you can reach it
Support for up to three external displays
“People kept telling us they hid their desktop under the desk. With Arc, they put it on the desk and show it off.” — Mara Ilves, vice president of Desktop Engineering
Arc Studio: built for the work that never fits on a laptop
Arc Studio is designed for colorists, scientists and anyone whose project outgrew a portable. Its new thermal architecture moves air in a single, slow loop, so the machine stays below 30 decibels with every core busy.
Arc Studio adds a full-size SD card slot, four high-bandwidth ports and support for up to eight displays when paired with a Halcyon Hub.
Halcyon OS 14 comes standard
Every new Arc ships with Halcyon OS 14, which brings Live Shelf, a place to park files, links and text between apps, and Quiet Hours, which learns when you work best and keeps notifications away during that time.

Arc starts at $599, and $549 for education customers.
