Two hundred students from twelve cities finished Halcyon Academy’s free year-long program — and forty of them have already shipped apps.

Students worked in teams of four, pairing designers with engineers.

The Academy accepts people with no prior coding experience and pays a stipend so that students can attend full time.

From first line to first launch

Students spend the first three months learning to code, the next three designing, and the last six building a product with a real user.

“I came in having never written a line of code. I am leaving with an app that 3,000 farmers use to share tractors.” — Joana Teixeira, graduate

Applications open

Applications for the next class open in November.
