Terms of Service
Effective · Last updated · Edition 3
In plain English
You own what you publish. We host it and serve it — on our address or on one you own — and you can take it down or delete your organization at any time, which removes it from the public web immediately. Free plans are free; paid plans bill in advance and stop at the end of the period you cancel in. We do not promise a specific uptime figure, and our liability is capped at what you paid us in the last twelve months. This paragraph is a summary; the document below is what actually applies.

Forumulate is operated by Alpha Visionary LLC ("we", "us"). These terms cover your use of the service at forumulate.com. By creating an account you agree to them.
The service
Forumulate hosts documentation, forums, blogs, changelogs, roadmaps and related surfaces, and publishes them on the web — on our address or on one you own. We run it; you do not have to.
Your account
You need a working email address, and you must verify it. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what the people you invite do with the access you give them. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been taken over.
You may not use the service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.
Your content
What you publish stays yours. We claim no ownership of it.
You grant us the permission we need to actually run the service: to store your content, process it, and serve it to the people you publish it to. That permission ends when you delete the content, except for backups still inside their retention window.
You are responsible for having the rights to what you publish, and for what publishing it means where you and your readers are.
Anything you publish in a public space is public. That is what publishing means here, and it is what search engines will read.
What you may not do
Publish content that is unlawful where it is published, or that infringes somebody else's rights.
Use the service to distribute malware, to phish, or to attack anybody — including us.
Attempt to break the isolation between organizations, to reach data that is not yours, or to circumvent limits.
Resell the service as your own without a written agreement with us.
We may suspend or remove content or an account that breaks these rules. Where a suspension is not urgent we will tell you why first.
Plans and payment
Free plans are free. Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor; you authorise us to charge the method you provide for the plan you choose, until you cancel.
Cancel any time — your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew. We do not refund part-periods except where the law requires it.
We may change prices. If we do, we will tell existing customers before the change takes effect on their account.
Availability
We work to keep the service up and we publish what it is doing at any moment on our status page. We do not promise a particular uptime figure, and this agreement carries no service level commitment unless we have signed one with you separately.
We may change how the service works. Where a change removes something you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.
Ending it
You can delete your organization at any time from its settings. Doing so takes it off the public web immediately: pages stop being served, sitemaps stop listing them, and any domain you attached stops answering. Backups age out on their normal retention schedule.
We may end an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or if we are required to.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data.
Where liability cannot be excluded, ours is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced before they take effect, and the date at the top will change. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.
