GaiaDesk puts a computer across town on the screen in front of you — encrypted end to end, peer to peer, with nothing to install just to connect.

There are two sides to every session:

  • The host — the computer being controlled. It runs the small GaiaDesk app.

  • The controller — the computer doing the controlling. Any modern browser works; there's nothing to install.

Host a computer

  1. Download and open GaiaDesk on the machine you want to reach.

  2. Sign in. The app shows a 9-digit address and a 6-digit code.

  3. Share the address and code with whoever is connecting — that's it.

The code changes each session unless you set an unattended password, so a screen-share you start now can't be reused tomorrow.

Connect to a computer

  1. Open gaiadesk.net/app in your browser and sign in.

  2. Enter the host's 9-digit address and its code or password.

  3. Click Connect.

Within a second or two the remote screen appears and you're in control. See Connecting to a computer for the details of codes, passwords, and approval prompts.

What you get in a session

  • Full mouse and keyboard control, with cross-platform modifier remapping.

  • Clipboard sync and drag-and-drop file transfer.

  • A two-pane file manager for browsing the host's disk.

  • Multi-monitor switching, quality controls, and session recording — all from the top bar.
