This is almost always a proxy or VPN that buffers streaming responses. Can you try Settings → Network → "Disable HTTP/2" and restart?

Yes: File → Add Folder to Workspace, then save the workspace. Both folders are indexed and the agent can reference either.

Add the vendored folders to .tesselignore. Indexing skips ignored paths, and 400k files will drop to something much more reasonable.
