Start fresh, but make one index note that links to the ten imported notes you actually use. Search finds the other 2,990 when you need them.

- Graph view freezes with more than 8,000 notes
It does. Thank you, this was a long-standing pain.

- Graph view freezes with more than 8,000 notes
2.8.0 renders the graph progressively; it should open in under two seconds now.

- Graph view freezes with more than 8,000 notes
Opening the graph on my 9,000-note vault freezes the app for about a minute. Local graph is fine.

- My literature-review workflow, from PDF to permanent note
People asked in the Zettelkasten thread, so here is the whole pipeline: Read the PDF in Quillstone with the PDF annotator. Highlights only — no notes yet. Extra

- Folders, tags or links? How do you organise a big vault?

- Sync created "conflicted copy" files everywhere
I edited the same daily note on my laptop and phone while the phone was offline. Now I have 2026-10-03 (conflicted copy).md next to the original. Which one wins

- [Plugin] Tidy Tables — format markdown tables as you type
@juno it measures character widths, so it assumes monospace in source mode. In live preview it does not matter. Let me know if Driftwood looks off.

Tidy Tables aligns your markdown table columns every time you press Tab, and lets you move rows and columns with keyboard shortcuts. Tidy Tables demo Tab / Shif

- Five years of a Zettelkasten: what I would do differently
Point 1 changed my legal research notes. 'Contract formation' became 'An acceptance by email is effective when sent, not when read' — and suddenly I could link

- Five years of a Zettelkasten: what I would do differently
I started my slip-box in my first year of the PhD. It now has about 9,000 permanent notes. Things I wish I had known: 1. Titles are claims, not topics "Memory c

- Quillstone 2.8.1 closes immediately on iOS 16
Same on an iPad with iPadOS 16.3. Looks like 2.8.1 uses an API that only exists from 17 onwards.

- Quillstone 2.8.1 closes immediately on iOS 16
2.8.0 worked fine yesterday. It broke with the update.
