My literature-review workflow, from PDF to permanent note

People asked in the Zettelkasten thread, so here is the whole pipeline:

1. Read the PDF in Quillstone with the PDF annotator. Highlights only — no notes yet.

2. Extract highlights to a literature note with one command.

3. Rewrite each highlight I still care about in my own words, one note per claim.

4. Link each new claim to two existing notes, with a reason.

Step 4 is where the thinking happens. Everything else is plumbing.

Doing the same for case law now. Step 3 is brutal and worth it.

Could you share the extract command? Is it a plugin?

Core! Command palette → PDF: Export highlights to note.
