What font are you using
A free condensed sans. It is in the repo together with the frame files.
Five months on one 18650 is impressive. Deep sleep between updates I assume?
Yes, it draws about 10 µA asleep. The e-paper keeps the image with no power at all.
Built two of these last weekend. My kids now check the hallway one before deciding whether they need a jacket.
I wanted a small display in every room showing the temperature, the next calendar event and whether a window is open, without a cloud and without a tablet on the wall.
Parts per room
4.2" e-paper module
ESP32-C3 board
3D-printed frame (files linked below)
One 18650 cell, lasts about five months
The displays wake every ten minutes, fetch their values over the local API and go back to sleep. Total cost was 19 € per room.
