Live editing, custom domains under a path, and a great deal of SEO
2026.08.17Collaborative editing is on for every page, documentation can be published under a path of a domain you already own, and a long list of things that quietly told search engines the wrong thing have been fixed.
Added
Live editing by default. Open a page and you are in the room; no button to press.
Publish under a path of your own domain —
yourcompany.com/docs— with the canonicals, sitemap and links all under it.Prove a domain with a file as well as a DNS record, and prove a name once to cover everything under it.
A per-page canonical URL, for a page deliberately published in two places.
Backups you can list and take from the API, rather than waiting for the nightly run.
Fixed
A page published on your domain no longer offers search engines two addresses for itself.
A blog, forum, changelog or roadmap on its own domain no longer 404s every link inside it.
A site's sitemap lists what the site actually serves, including the spaces made of topics.
Deleting an organization now takes it off the public web immediately.
Plain HTTP answers on a custom domain instead of returning 404.
Security
A hostname this application answers on cannot be proved by file: we would have been serving the challenge on the claimant's behalf.
