Why Halite?
Halite is the web framework for content-driven websites like blogs, marketing pages, documentation and shops. Halite ships zero JavaScript by default and adds it back one component at a time.
Content-first
Halite was designed for sites rich in words and pictures. Most of the page is HTML rendered at build time, so it arrives fast and stays fast.
Server-first
Pages are rendered on the server, not in the visitor's browser. That moves the expensive work off cheap phones and onto machines built for it.
Fast by default
A site built with Halite typically loads 40% faster than the same site built as a single-page app, because there is simply less to download.
Easy to use
You do not have to learn a new UI library. Bring components from the one you already know — or write plain .hal components, which are HTML with a script fence on top.
