- The API reference should show the response headers
Rate-limit headers, request ids, and the processing-time header are all in every response, but the reference only documents the body. Half the questions in this

- Tracking per-user cost in a multi-tenant app
Same. Also tag requests with a feature name in metadata, so you know which feature the expensive users love.

- A checklist before you give an agent write access to anything
After answering a dozen threads about agents doing surprising things, here is the list I now send people. Dry-run mode. Every write tool has a dry_run flag that

- Python SDK retries a non-idempotent request after a timeout
That is the answer. Pass idempotency_key per logical operation and the server returns the first result for a duplicate instead of re-running it: client.response

- Temperature 0 still gives different answers — is that expected?
Zero means greedy, not deterministic. Batched inference on GPUs can change floating-point order between runs, which occasionally flips a near-tie between two to

- Please let us pin conversations in the sidebar
I have three conversations I return to every day and twenty I opened once. A pin would save a lot of scrolling. Anyone else?

- I built a recipe app that reads your fridge — feedback welcome
Point the camera at your fridge, it lists what it sees, and suggests three dinners. Built with Halo 2 vision and about 600 lines of Swift. App screenshot What I

- Which embedding dimension should I use for 2M short product titles?
We tested on 500k SKU titles. Recall@10: 256 → 0.81, 1024 → 0.86, 3072 → 0.87. The jump from 1024 to 3072 was not worth 3× the storage for us.

- Share your shortest system prompt that actually changed the output
If unsure, say which fact you are unsure about. Not short, but it turned vague hedging into useful flags.

- Share your shortest system prompt that actually changed the output
For code review: Only comment on bugs. Cut review length by 80% and made people actually read them.

- Share your shortest system prompt that actually changed the output
Mine is four words, used for a docs-rewriting tool: Shorter. Concrete nouns. No hedging. It removed almost every "it's worth noting that" from our drafts. What

- Project files disappear from Vantor Chat after a day
Same here on Windows. The files come back if I sign out and in again, so it looks like a display problem, not deletion.

- How we cut our agent's tool-call loop from 9 turns to 3
Did trimming tool output change accuracy at all? I worry about the model missing a field it needed. Accuracy went up slightly (94.1% → 95.3% on our 400-booking

- How we cut our agent's tool-call loop from 9 turns to 3
We run an agent that books freight: it checks rates, holds a slot, confirms with the customer. Early versions took 9 tool turns on average for a booking. Here i

- Introducing Vantor Halo 2 — faster tool calls and a 400k context window
@kenji it should never happen under strict mode — can you send the request id in a DM? We would like to look at that one.

- Introducing Vantor Halo 2 — faster tool calls and a 400k context window
Is structured output still guaranteed on Halo 2 when strict: true? I had one malformed JSON in about 4,000 calls over the weekend.
