Vectra for Windows is in public beta

Jonas Weir · 1 min read

After a year of private testing with 40,000 people, Vectra for Windows is open to everyone today.

Vectra running on Windows
Vectra on Windows supports every extension that does not depend on a macOS-only API.

What's included

  • The command bar, clipboard history and snippets

  • Window management with Snap Layouts support

  • Over 1,200 extensions from the store

What we learned

Windows users rely on the keyboard just as much as Mac users, but the conventions are different. We rebuilt shortcuts, menus and focus handling to feel native rather than ported.

The best compliment from the beta was "I forgot this wasn't a Windows app."
