The book app finally adds half-star and quarter-star ratings
After years of readers writing "3.75, rounded up" in their reviews, fractions are here.
It is a small change that a very particular group of people has wanted for a very long time.
Why it matters
A five-point scale compresses everything into the 3–4 range. Fractions spread it back out.
Finally, a way to say "good, but I will not be reading the sequel."
The update rolls out this week on all platforms.
