Which event fires when a file is renamed by another plugin?

My plugin keeps an index of files. When another plugin renames a file, my index goes stale. I listen to vault.on('modify'). What am I missing?

Renames are not modifies. You want:

this.registerEvent(
  this.app.vault.on('rename', (file, oldPath) => {
    this.index.move(oldPath, file.path);
  })
);

registerEvent also unregisters it for you when the plugin unloads.

Of course. Thank you — and thanks for the registerEvent tip, I was leaking handlers.

Same here — following this thread.
