Neon, Prism, Tilt: Type After Dark

Kiln Design · 1 min read

Go beyond flat type with colour fonts that glow, refract and lean

Colour fonts have been possible for years and used for almost nothing. We wanted to change that.

Three experimental families — one that glows, one that splits light, one that leans — now ship in our type library.

Glow, split, lean

Each one degrades gracefully to a solid colour where colour fonts aren't supported.

A sign at night is half letterform, half light source.

Graceful in the dark

Use them for signs, never for paragraphs.
